TERMUN was an incredibly strong start for Blackrock MUN this year. As the first conference of the academic year, there is always a certain level of excitement with delegates preparing resolutions, speeches and amendments, and Blackrock was no different.
We had three delegations this year, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Sweden, with 20 delegates and 2 chairs. Debates went well and Blackrock College managed to get three resolutions to the General Assembly where they were debated by all 250 delegates.
After the General Assembly, Blackrock College had reaped an impressive number of awards including five distinguished delegate awards, two distinguished junior delegate awards and a best delegation award for the United Kingdom.
Overall, TERMUN was a fantastic start for MUN, and we thank Aran O’Flaherty and Mr Swan for accompanying us for the two days and Ms Kane for the work she put in back in Blackrock. We now wish all delegates heading to England for Royal Russel MUN the best of luck!
